Host at your institution a live, portable planetarium experience powered by OpenSpace, a NASA-funded visualization platform used by planetariums, universities, and research institutions around the world.
OpenSpace allows audiences to explore real NASA data in real time, making it possible to tailor each program to the interests of your community. Topics can include:
Apollo and Artemis missions
The Voyager spacecraft and the outer solar system
Asteroids and planetary defense
Earth, ocean, and climate data from space
Current and upcoming NASA missions
Or a custom journey designed with your audience in mind
Because the experience is live and interactive, the program can shift based on age group, questions, or learning goals… there is no fixed script or pre-recorded show.
I bring this experience directly to community spaces using a fully self-contained, pop-up planetarium, making immersive science programming possible without travel, field trips, or specialized facilities. I handle all setup, breakdown, and audience flow, and work with hosts to structure events that fit their space and schedule.
Programs are often run as multiple show rotations during a single event, allowing large numbers of participants to attend. When averaged across attendance, the cost typically works out to less than $5 per participant, making this a high-impact and accessible option for community programming budgets.
Each program is expert-led from start to finish, guided by a NASA-supported science communicator and PhD researcher who works directly with planetariums and immersive science environments. Rather than following a preset script, the experience is shaped in real time, bringing current space science, exploration, and discovery directly to your audience.
These programs work especially well for:
Family science nights
Summer reading and STEM programming
Special events and outreach initiatives
Community engagement experiences for mixed-age audiences
I’d be happy to share a brief overview, discuss possible themes, and talk through formats, pricing, and availability. Thank you for supporting accessible science experiences in your community, I’d love to collaborate.
